All schedule change requests must be completed through this form. Schedule change requests are only approved for pre-determined reasons. Counselors will be back in the office on August 26th, and will review requests in the order they are received.

Schedule requests will not be accepted after Monday, September 9th at 3PM.

Per South Milwaukee High School Handbook 23-24:

The procedure for requesting a class change may require input from several sources, including; parents, teachers, School Counselors, and Associate Principals. Students should see their Counselor to request a class change.

Schedule changes will only be considered for the following reasons:

If a course is dropped, depending on when the course is dropped, and the purpose for dropping the course, a failing grade for that course may be recorded on the student’s transcript.

For Current Students

Student Services staff are here to help our students succeed. Whether they need academic planning support, counseling, or career planning, our counselors are here to help guide students towards graduation and beyond to help them realize their full potential.

For Future Students

Starting at a new high school can be intimidating and stressful. Whether you are the family of an 8th grader getting ready to move up to the high school, a new residents of South Milwaukee or are open-enrolling in, you are welcome at South Milwaukee High School.

Our freshman are welcomed each year during orientation by upper classmen - our Link Crew - who are a resource and a guide to the high school. During orientation new 9th graders get acquainted with the building and our staff before the rest of the students arrive.

New students enrolling in any grade level have the full support of our Student Services department and a warm welcome from our teachers and staff.
